Madhubani Art or Mithila painting is a style of painting practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar, India. This painting is done by using variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib pens and matchsticks using natural colours, rice flour, cow dung etc. It is characterised by use of bright colours depicting daily life of people, their association with nature and deities.
